Know a Healing Hero
Doctors Award: sponsored by gsk logo
Teams of doctors and dentists in practices or hospitals across Scotland provide vital help, support and advice on a daily basis. Who do you think deserves public recognition of their hard work?
Nurses Award: sponsored by gsk logo
NHS Nursing teams working in general care, community care or specialist care provide an invaluable service 24 hours every day, 365 days of the year. Have you found an exceptional example of their care?
Unsung Hero Award: sponsored by wyeth logo
Recognising the jewel in any team! The type of person who just gets on with their job, but whose drive and commitment always shines through. This is the type of person who goes the extra mile, enhances the reputation of the whole team, and always keeps in sight the wellbeing of those whose care they're involved in. Although just doing their normal day-to-day job, these people genuinely make a difference, but so often their contribution goes unrecognised. Here's your opportunity to show them just how much you value them and their work!

Support Workers Award: sponsored by Unison
The indispensable support staff without whom NHS Scotland couldn’t function – auxiliaries, cleaners, porters to name just a few. Have you experienced a special effort that should be rewarded?

Volunteers Award:
The unpaid assistance that makes a visit to hospital or an encounter with ill-health a bit easier or more bearable – from hospital radio, WRVS, volunteer drivers and many others. You must have a special story to tell us about a special volunteer or team.

Therapists Award:

sponsored by in partnership with British Lung Foundation
The specialist skills of the many different therapists in NHS Scotland, ranging from physiotherapy to dental hygiene, help improve quality of life for large numbers of people every year. Has a special therapist helped you improve your life?
